A Message From Shawn McAssey, Vice President/Mitigation Director
The COVID-19 impact in RI has affected the lives of nearly everyone in the state. Health and government officials are working to maintain the safety of all Rhode Islanders. All businesses, large and small, are attempting to keep their employees and customers healthy. Here at Rhode Island Restoration, we are still open for business. Although this is true, we have had to adjust how we go about our day to day operations. As an essential business, it is our hope that we will be able to remain open for business without sacrificing the health and safety of our customers and employees.
Here at Rhode Island Restoration, face to face interaction is quite typical. Once we are called by a customer, the mitigation director or a project manager is sent to the site as soon as possible. Once an initial consultation has been performed, we estimate the damages and discuss the scope of work with the customer. Following the approval of the customer, our technicians are dispatched to the job site to perform their duties. Following any demolition performed, all necessary equipment is installed and monitored. Once the job has been completed, the equipment is picked up and a final cleaning is performed.
Here at Rhode Island Restoration, we understand the concerns that come with this COVID-19 pandemic. Face to face interaction is prohibited unless completely necessary. Although this is true, when disaster strikes, it is important to take care of the situation immediately. Whether it be water damage, fire damage, or any other peril, it is important to mitigate the issue as quickly as possible in order to prevent further damage and adverse health effects. We are still here for you in times of disaster, whether it be your home, income property, or business.
Rhode Island Restoration now offers Coronavirus/COVID-19 Cleaning Services for your home, business, or income property to help stop the spread of the virus and protect you and your family/staff/customers.
All field employees are sent to every job with all necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). The PPE used includes, respirators, nitrile gloves, and hazmat coveralls. Containment chambers are set up in the places in which our technicians are actively working. During the mitigation process, special machines called air scrubbers are installed to aid in cleaning the air of all dust and pollutants. This portable filtration systems draw air from the surrounding environment and pass it through a series of filters to remove contaminants. All job sites are cleaned at the conclusion of each day. All equipment used is disinfected at the conclusion of each job.
